Jon Ching has gained notoriety for his beautiful, subtly stylized, depictions of wildlife with birds as a particularly common subject matter. In previous works the artists’ lush, vibrant color palette lends an immediate tropical atmosphere to the scene. In this particular series the artist has chosen a more muted approach although some of the subject matter retains an equatorial influence. In this new series, “Dual”, Jon explores the idea of actions and reactions within the natural world, with particular attention paid to how these interactions might be seen through the eyes of his subjects.
