Pareidolia - Guest Curated by Casey Weldon
A show about the things we think we see
Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus, usually an image or a sound, by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. Common examples are perceived images of animals, faces, or objects in cloud or rock formations. In this show we ask artists to illustrate this phenomenon, fooling the audience into seeing something that isn't really there, or is not immediately registered, at first glance.
